Among them were the Pride of Baltimore II, the Mystic Whaler from New London CT, the Arabella from Newport RI, and New Jersey’s tallship the A J Meerwald.

Tea Party Festival

In solidarity with the more well-known protest in Boston, Chestertown residents stormed a British vessel in 1774 and tossed its cargo of tea into the river. The Chestertown Tea Party Festival is a glorious reenactment of this historic act of resistance. Capture colorful images of British troops and the colonial militia engaged in a volley of musket fire, townspeople dressed in period costumes, the tea party reenactment (the big splash), and a parade of other picturesque sights during our journey back in time.

The Inner Harbor in Baltimore is a treasure trove of photogenic delights by day, and it is even better at night! We meet at the Maryland Science Center for an orientation on nighttime photography techniques and then make our way along the waterfront promenade. We use the early evening light, the setting sun, and twilight to shoot the Inner Harbor skyline; the new Harboreast skyline; reflections in the water; boats and ships in the Harbor; the Power Plant; and the iconic Domino Sugar sign that illuminates the Harbor; and more.
