The Inner Harbor in Baltimore is a treasure trove of photogenic delights by day, and it is even better at night! We meet at the Maryland Science Center for an orientation on nighttime photography techniques and then make our way along the waterfront promenade. We use the early evening light, the setting sun, and twilight to shoot the Inner Harbor skyline; the new Harboreast skyline; reflections in the water; boats and ships in the Harbor; the Power Plant; and the iconic Domino Sugar sign that illuminates the Harbor; and more.
We explore as many evening twilight photo opportunities as time and light permit. At each stop along this photo safari, I review white balance options and settings for aperture and shutter speed. I show you where to find perfect shots of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and how to capture them.
Included in this training session
The fee covers the evening’s hands-on photography instruction and tremendous photo opportunities. My role as lead instructor is to help you create better images and fill your portfolio. I do not photograph on photo safaris, I teach.
My goal is to help you develop a set of skills and techniques you can use over your lifetime to create images of which you will be proud. To help reinforce the techniques we cover, I provide participants via email a follow-up professional critique of any 3 images shot during this evening twilight photo safari.
I designed this evening twilight photo safari to accommodate a maximum of 8 participants. A minimum of 3 participants is required.
